Cause now nothing that happens today can be worse than that.

[No reason other than to see Manjoume get all flustered about it. He waits for the seatbelt to click before the car rumbles to life and he makes for the street.]

[Good. With that, Manjoume will back off on teasing Bakugou any further for now, since he is in fact grateful that the guy is even making the time to go to the arcade and the like with him for his birthday here. Speaking of which--]

So which games have you played at the arcade already that you would recommend?

[They better team up at the arcade or Bakugou's going after Manjoume mercilessly! He respects the guy's skill enough to take him on full power. At least the traffic isn't heavy right now, making for an easy trip.

I like the shooters, racers, and fighting games, but their laser tag is fucking great. [Look, laser tag in an self-created AI world? How can you go wrong with that?]

[Manjoume has actually never played laser tag before in his life, but he has at least heard enough about it to know how its played.]

Can that be played with just two of us?

Yeah, they can generate targets in the VR arena. It's played with headsets to work with the ocular.

[Bakugo's played solo several times in order to get a workout of his reaction and aiming skills, as well as vent some irritation in the process.]

Ohh, I see. Sounds like it should be worth giving a shot, then.

[Now for whether they would be playing as a team or against one another... maybe even both depending on how many games they decide to play with the laser tag.]

If your aim's at least decent, you might put up a good challenge.

[Of course he's taunting him. If another group wants to go in there as a team vs team, then they'll kind of not have a choice, but if it's just them, then they can either 1v1 or go versus AI opponents.]

Pfft, I don't need training lessons. As long as I know how to use the laser tag gun, I'm sure I could figure it out pretty easily from there.

[That'd be a sucky waste of time to have Manjoume screw up a minute after getting in there. Bakugou ducks his head slightly to check the lot number as he pulls his car into the entertainment sector's parking lot. It's a pretty big place, even if he's mostly focusing on the game and rec centers.]

[Manjoume doesn't need to be told twice--upon realizing they've arrived, Manjoume has already begun unbuckling his seatbelt, already hopping out of the car just as Bakugou tells him to get out.

So maybe he is a little excited, like any teenager probably would be on comimg here as opposed to being completely indufferent. Sue him. (Or don't, he has no money from the Manjoume family to pay off lawsuits right now.)

And okay maybe he does get a little distracted as they go inside the game center, looking around at what's available, but thankfully not so much in a way that he tries to drift off somewhere away from Bakugou's side to look closer at said games just yet.

They have laser tag to try first, because Manjoume was in fact serious about playing and proving himself here. Not that it should be that difficult--he managed to figure out how to use a harpoon gun when they were fighting those whale kaiju a few months back, so this should practically be a cakewalk in comparison!]

[Tch, it's good to see the guy get excited about something like this. Manjoume always tries to carry himself proud and broody, but Bakugo's seen he's got plenty of stupid goofy under his surface. Given his history, the duelist never really got to have "fun" as he grew up, huh. Stuck living in someone else's demands for him. Bakugo knows someone else like that...

The game center's pretty large, with sections for various games all over the place. Sports games like basketball and bowling, racing games with those big plastic motorcycles and car seat setups, shooters with both rail-types and free gun handling, fighting arcade games (generic or knock off series...), skill games for massive points, the VR corner for fully immersive experiences, a physical section with rock climbing walls and obstacle courses, and a lot more. Anything and everything to distract people from the struggles of living in Neo Tokyo.

Bakugo heads for another large section in the back where they house the laser tag fields.] They have two physical courses and the rest are all VR for augmented play.

Are we going to do the physical course, or the VR? I am good with either or.

[Or maybe it depends on how many people are around for them to decide on one or the other.]

The VR courses can be anything you want. Jungles, beaches, city.

[The group has to agree on which one, but it won't matter if it's just the two of them.]

Well, if we're going to do VR, then we should do a setting we haven't done yet before from training in the VR courses back at the base to keep things interesting... but, if we do the physical course, I guess that wouldn't really be a concern at all.

Lets do the physical course first. [Let Manjoume get a feel for how it works before throwing in the distraction of multiple landscapes and obstacles.

Bakugou heads up the stairs, taking them to another bunch of games and entertainments. There's even a theater to the side, but it's only an offshoot of the main theater elsewhere.] They've got a good court downstairs if you wanna eat there.

[Mostly junk food.]

[Physical course it is! Manjoume follows Bakugou up the stairs and takes in all of the games and the theater that they pass on the way... does the theater have anything good playing? Maybe he will look later. As for the food court--]

If we work up an appetite while we're here then yeah, we can check it out and see if they have anything good, even if it is probably junk food.

[There's plenty to do here for someone bored or looking to get away from the stress Neo Tokyo can bring out. As for the theater, probably? Don't expect to find any disaster films or monster films though. (Assuming.) Bakugou isn't a big movie person. He's picky if he's going to spend two hours doing something like that...]

If you wanna go to another restaurant, we can. [Junk food would help the soul, not the body. Still, it's Manjoume's day, so he calls the shots. The laser tag is up ahead, sporting a gaudy wall of lights and shapes covering the entire area. With two small doors on either side of the contained entertainment.]

[Manjoume also doesn't actually watch that many movies... at least not any that don't end up involving Duel Monsters. The exception to this is romance movies because Fubuki got him to watch some as part of his "teaching the ways of love with Fubuki-shishou" nonsense lessons, but he sure as hell not going to be looking for any to watch here while he's with Bakugou.

Once they reach the physical laser tag course, he's looking over the equipment with interest, and seems to actually be listening intently enough when the (probably not paid enough for this judging by their bored tone) employee explains the rules and how the game is meant to be played while not even looking up from the magazine that they're currently reading. But that's fine, since it looks like it's just going to be the two of them playing right now, and thus they don't need to really be that concerned about whether or not other people around them are bothering to pay attention to the rules either when Manjoume turns his attention to Bakugou once they've been given the all clear to enter and start.]
